Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. It does factor into how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
